Introduction to Observability

Your systems can tell you what you need to know, when you need to know it.

What is observability, and why should you care? This free-with-registration course, created in collaboration with Honeycomb and led by the one and only Jessica Kerr, will answer that question and give you hands-on experience developing with observability.

Do you write, run, or change software systems? Then you need to know how those systems work, in real situations, for real customers. The ability to see what’s happening at a high level, and then find a path to the details that let you understand, is called observability. Getting it means small changes for the software, and new skills for you. This course focuses on how to use observability.

Maybe you’ve heard of observability, and want to know what the big deal is. Maybe you have access to Honeycomb now, but don’t know what to do with it. This course will give you the why and then the how.
