No one is exempt from this work, or unimportant to it—it's no one's job and everyone's job.
Some of the tenets we honor include:
The internet’s practices are not our practices.
We don’t do DEI work to perform on social media, or because it’s popular in the moment.
We treat each other (all of our bees) with respect,
and can and should prioritize some axes of diversity over others.
We prioritize marginalized people’s safety
over privileged people’s comfort.
We balance focus on all three pillars:
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
We work at a sustainable pace
with the understanding that we should continuously strive for improvement.
